Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg met the 28 newly appointed regional governors and asked them to plan a clear strategy for the development of their regions. Fight against corruption should become the governors` top priority. As link between the central government and the people, they should strive to achieve balance between the national and the local interests. The Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg said that a change in the local government system in line with Bulgaria’s EU integration should take place according to steps proposed by him. The regional governors will hold working meetings with State Administration Minister Dimiter Kalchev on the first Friday of every month.
