The Dutch investor, Helian Commodities that acquired majority stakes in Large Bulgarian Mills, the Kambana vegetable oil plant and the Polski Trambezh-based plant can’t be found in the international registers, the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria /CITUB/ reported. The Privatization Agency ruled that the deal on the Kambana plant is void because Helian Commodities has not invested anything from its USD23M obligation. A claim of BGN 12.757 was filed in Court. 68% of the Kambana vegetable oil plant was acquired by Helian for USD 5.5 M in 1997. The deal on Polski Trambezh was also cancelled. The situation of the Large Bulgarian Mills, called Helian Industrial after the privatization, is unclear.
