FOREIGNERS TO PAY MEDICAL INSURANCE FROM DECEMBER

Foreign nationals holding short-term residence permit will be required to pay medical insurance from December, the Government decided. The cabinet amended the rules from the Public Health Act that said that the short-term foreign residents should pay medical insurances from September. An interdepartmental expert group, from the ministries of Finance, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Health and Economy, headed by the Interior Minister Petkanov will familiarize with the rules the insurance agencies, tour operators, consular services, diplomatic missions and the public.
