Promising Subsidies for Bulgarian Agriculture, 2014

Over BGN 2.5 B subsidies are expected to go into Bulgaria’s agricultural sector through European funds and the national budget in 2014.
The subsidies are set to increase competitiveness in the sector, as well as to cover outstanding payments to livestock breeders, writes Farmer.bg.
A further BGN 263.7 M is envisioned in grants through specialized state aid schemes for land owners, tobacco growers, and livestock breeders.
The mechanisms for maintaining the price stability for grains, meats, and others will remain in power.
The government will spend BGN 27.2 M for market support measures, while a further 62.4 M will come from the EU.
