The commander-in-chief of the 6th US fleet vice-admiral Gregory Johnson arrived onboard the USS La Salle in Varna to pay an official visit. Vice-admiral Johnson and the Chief of Staff of the Bulgarian Navy Vice Admiral Peter Petrov are expected to coordinate the schedule for joint US-Bulgarian naval exercises. The Commander-in-chief of the 3-th (Pacific) US fleet, Vice Admiral Mike Bucky, who was also expected to arrive in Varna, failed to arrive as he lost all his luggage in Milan while flying from London to Sofia.
