Russia, Bulgaria Agree to Hold Culture Seasons

Bulgarian and Russian Culture Seasons are to be held next March and October in the two opposite countries, an agreement signed by Bulgarian Culture Minister Abrashev and Russian Culture Minister Mikhail Shvydkoy envisages. The agreement was signed at the end of Russian Culture Minister official visit in Bulgaria. The seasons' programmes will be compiled by an expert group of the two ministries. The two ministers considered the opportunities for financing a restoration of the murals in the central dome of the St Alexander Nevsky Memorial Cathedral in Sofia. A Russian film festival, including releases from the last 10 or 15 years, will be staged as part of a Russian Culture Season in March 2003.
