Bulgaria's Industrial Production Sees Continued Decline in Early 2025
Industrial production in Bulgaria continued to experience a downturn at the start of the year,
The Producer Price Index on Bulgaria's Domestic Market in October 2013 decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month.
The data was released by the National Statistics Institute, NSI.
Domestic prices fell in mining and quarrying industry, in manufacturing by 0.2% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.1%.
In the manufacturing, compared to the previous month, prices went down in the manufacturing of other transport equipment - by 1.2%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment - by 0.8% and in the manufacturing of tobacco products - by 0.7%, while a price increase was registered in the manufacturing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 1.5% and in the manufacturing of wearing apparel by 0.6%.
The Producer Price Index on Domestic Market Bulgarian in October 2013 decreased by 3.9% compared to the same month of 2012. Domestic prices fell in the mining and quarrying industry by 10.3%, in manufacturing by 3.1% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 4.9%.
In manufacturing, compared to October 2012, a price decrease was registered in the manufacturing of basic metals - by 7.3%, in the manufacturing of food products - by 3.7% and in the manufacturing of chemicals and chemical products - by 2.8%. Prices increases were seen in the manufacturing of leather and related products - by 8.1%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment - by 5.0%, in the manufacturing of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment - by 3.4%.
The Total Producer Price Index in Industry in October 2013 decreased by 0.3%, compared to the previous month. Lower prices were registered in manufacturing - by 0.4% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 0.2%, while prices went up in the mining and quarrying industry by 0.3%.
In manufacturing, more significant prices decreases were seen in the manufacturing of basic metals - by 1.2%, in the manufacturing of other transport equipment - by 0.9% and in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment - by 0.8%.
The Total Producer Price Index in October 2013 decreased by 4.2% comparing to the same month of 2012.
In manufacturing, prices declined by 3.4%, compared to October 2012. More significant prices decreases were seen in the manufacturing of basic metals - by 9.7%, in the manufacturing of food products - by 3.5% and in the manufacturing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers - by 3.1%, while producer prices rose in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment - by 4.3%, in the manufacturing of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment - by 3.8%, in the manufacturing of beverages - by 3.5% and in the manufacturing of clothing apparel - by 3.0%.
