Children of police officers who died while on duty were donated BGN 540 per person. The money for the donation was raised at the charity football match in Plovdiv that confronted teams led by Sweden's Ambassador to Bulgaria, Sten Ask and General Boyko Borrisov, chief secretary with Interior Ministry. The ceremony was also held to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of Volvo Car Corporation. On this occasion, H. E. Sten Ask presented General Boyko Borrisov with the keys of a brand-new Volvo S80. In his speech, the ambassador stressed that the present was symbolic for the public support of the Interior Ministry's efforts to make Bulgaria a safer place.
