An earthquake with magnitude 2.8 has been registered by the European Seismological Center near Sofia.
The tremor happened at 3:59 AM, with an epicenter at Novi Han, 14 km northeast of the capital Sofia, with a depth of 10 km.
According to data of the Geophysical Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the quake’s magnitude was 2.2 on the Richter scale.
No damage has been reported.
