Nearly the whole of Bulgaria has been placed on code yellow for potentially dangerous weather over strong winds and downpours expected on Thursday.

Winds in the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa and Pleven regions are expected to reach 90 km/h.

The weather is expected to be dynamic, with clouds and heavy rains, on some locations accompanied by thunderstorms, particularly in the regions of Razgrad, Silistra, Dobrich, Shumen, Varna.

The warning excludes only Bulgaria’s southwestern parts, where temperatures will drop with highs set at 11-18 C.
