There is fresh line clogging the cross border check point Kapitan Andreevo on the Bulgarian-Turkish border.

The news was reported Monday by Bulgarian and Turkish media.

This time around, the line is not caused by blockades of disgruntled carriers, but over the influx of Muslims from Bulgarian origins coming to celebrate Eid al-Adha or Kurban Bayram as meat is cheaper in Bulgaria, according to the reports.

For this reason, the line includes not only tractor trailers, but scores of cars as well.

Turkish Customs have already warned that they allow only 5 kg of meat per person to be brought back into Turkey only if it is in a vacuum-sealed package and after at least a 3-day stay in Bulgaria.

There are lines at the Lesovo checkpoint as well.
