PRISONERS FROM VARNA GO ON STRIKE

31 prisoners on remand from the Varna prison went on hunger strike. They protested against decree №2 that allows criminals of serious crimes to cohabit with criminals of minor crimes. The protesting prisoners also demanded synchronization of Article 26, Paragraph 1 from the Bulgarian Criminal Code with the European Conventionion on Human Rights. The prisoners from the Varna prison stand by the protest of the prisoners from the Sofia Central Prison. 24 prisoners from the Sofia Central Prison climbed on the roof of its building on Saturday with demands towards the juridiciary system too. Prisoners from Vratsa, Stara Zagora and Burgas also threaten with protests, wrote Standart Daily.
