GERB Opposes Retail Price Cap Amid Boycott and Public Concerns
GERB has expressed its opposition to implementing a price cap on retail sales in supermarket chain
Bulgaria's government aircraft has been used to transport VIP guests for the wedding of former Foreign Minister in the GERB cabinet, Nikolay Mladenov.
The wedding took place on August 20 2011, in the State residence Evsinograd on the Black Sea coast, just north of the city of Varna, reminds BGNES news agency.
The group was led personally by then Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, leader of the center-right, currently in opposition, Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB.
Borisov was Mladenov's best man at the wedding.
The information is included in the report of the Parliamentary ad-hoc committee probing the flights of "Air Detachment 28," which operates the government aircraft
According to it, two days before the wedding, Borisov has used the Airbus to fly to Varna; he has visited the Black Sea city of Burgas the next day, then a little bit later has gone to the Bezmer airport in southern Bulgaria.
On the day of the wedding, the ex PM has flown to Sofia where he only spent 2 hours to return just on time for the wedding.
The VIP passengers on the latter flight have included former Regional Minister in the GERB Cabinet and current President of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, and GERB Minister of Transport, Ivaylo Moskovski and his wife, among others. Three bodyguards from the National Security Services, NSO, have also been onboard.
The cost of fuel only for the wedding trip is estimated at BGN 11 000 in taxpayers money.
Three days after the wedding, Borisov has flown alone back to Sofia.
