PLAMA WORKERS TO APPROACH THE STRASBOURG COURT

Plama oil refinery workers approached the European Court of Justice in Strasbourg with a complaint in which they stated that all legal ways to protect their rights in Bulgaria were exhausted, disclosed Dnevnik Daily. The employees of the refinery warned on August 20 that in case their salaries are not paid soon and an audit for the time elapsed after December 18, 1998, is not appointed by the Finance Minister, they will file a complaint at the European Court of Justice in Strasbourg. On Wednesday morning, the ex-workers renewed their protests.The ex-workers of Plama also filed a plea with the Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg, requesting to suspend the Pleven Member of Parliament Dimitur Stefanov. The protesting ex-workers claimed that Stefanov as ex-Chief of the Supervisory Board of the Privatization Agency is biased.
