Bulgaria's far-right nationalist party Ataka has made the historic contribution of not allowing the formerly-ruling GERB party to be in power again, according to nationalist leader, Volen Siderov.
Siderov spoke Sunday at a briefing in the Black Sea city of Burgas.
Regarding the record-long protest rallies against the Socialist-endorsed government of Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, he commented they were staged by paid groups (BGN 40 – 50 per participant), incited and financed by billionaire investor George Soros and GERB (the center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, which ruled between 2009 and February 2013).
According to Siderov, the protesters had no ideology, but were only harboring meanness and revengefulness with the goal to divide the nation. He stressed they were concentrated only in the capital Sofia, while common people opposed them.
Siderov was adamant that in his capacity of Chair of the Parliamentary Anti-Corruption Committee, he would pay serious attention in the allegations for the above.
