A total of 3000 Bulgarians have found work abroad through the assistance of the Employment Agency in the first six months of 2013, according to a media statement of the body.

The majority of Bulgarian workers, slightly over 1000 people, were hired in the construction sector in Israel, thanks to a bilateral intergovernmental agreement stipulating a quota of 3.5 thousand construction workers.

According to reports of Bulgaria's Employment Agency, a total of 733 Bulgarians went to Spain for seasonal agricultural work.

A total of 172 Bulgarians found employment in Germany, 95 of them as home care assistants, and 77 as hospitality workers.

A total of 33 Bulgarians received approval for agricultural work in Denmark.

A thousand Bulgarians started work thanks to the EURES (European Employment Services) network, of which Bulgaria's Employment Agency is a member.

On August 8, the website of EURES provided information about nearly 1.5 vacancies.

The Employment Agency warns all Bulgarians seeking to find work overseas to only use the services of licensed intermediaries, which have been listed on the Agency's website.

Before departing from Bulgaria, the candidates for overseas work must sign an employment contract in Bulgarian with the foreign employer specifying the working and living conditions.
