Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has suggested a joint sitting between the Macedonian and Bulgarian governments.
Gruevski, who met with his Bulgarian counterpart Plamen Oresharski in Kyustendil on Sunday, underlined the importance of the two countries’ traditionally friendly relations.
“We exchanged thoughts and experience about European and Euro-Atlantic integration. We emphasized the importance of strengthening the regional cooperation further and we agreed that the participation in regional organizations and initiatives can have an additional contribution to achieving our common goals and interests,” Gruevski told reporters after the meeting.
Bulgarian PM Plamen Oresharski welcomed his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Gruevski in Kyustendil Sunday afternoon. The two officials discussed a number of key issues in bilateral relations, with an emphasison the so-called Friendship Treaty currently negotiated by the two countries.
Oresharski reiterated his country’s support for Macedonia’s efforts to join NATO and the European Union.
