The planned budget update is going to be voted Monday at an emergency sitting of the Bulgarian Cabinet.

Finance Minister Petar Chobanov has already said that despite the new loan of BGN 1 B, there are no projected increases of the minimum monthly wage or the so-called Christmas bonuses for the retirees.

He, however, did not exclude the possibility to seek ways to secure the above. Members of the Parliament from the left-wing Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, have commented before bTV that "the action plan" for the next 6 months might be ready as early as July 26.

The update and the half-year action plan come on the backdrop of peaceful, but mass and relentless protest rallies against the Socialist-endorsed government of Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski.

BSP is holding a National Council sitting on July 26 when its members will be informed about the intentions of the government.

On Sunday, Bulgaria's new right-wing union, the Reformist Block, strongly criticized the government's plan to take a new loan and actualize State budget 2013.

A number of economic experts in the country have blasted the plan as well.
