Serbian coach Slavisa Jokanovic has arrived in Bulgaria’s Sofia for talks with local club Levski, according to media reports.

The former Yugoslav international is likely to succeed Nikolay Mitov, who was fired from the club following its shocking defeat at the hands of Kazakhstan’s Irtysh Pavlodar in the forst qualifying round of Europa League.

Jokanovic had a successful stay as coach of Partizan Belgrade between 2007 and 2009, leading the club to two doubles.

In 2012, he took over at the helm of Muangthong United, leading the club to the third Thai Premier League title in its history.
