Extensive rains have caused massive floods over the weekend in parts of central and western Europe, causing death and damage.

Several people are reported dead or missing in different parts of Germany, where large rivers Main, Rhine, Neckar and Danube have overflown.

The highest flood alert, degree 3, has been declared over Czech capital Prague, and 18 other locations across the country.

Overflow is feared on the Vlava river passing through the historic city.

Extensive rainstorms also caused flooding in neighboring Hungary and Austria, as well as in Switzerland.
