Ex-Economy Minister: Bulgaria Unlikely to Enter Eurozone in Early 2025
In a recent interview on Nova TV, former Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov expressed skepticism regarding Bulgaria's prospects of entering the Eurozone at the outset of 2025
Bulgaria’s former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov (2009-2013) wished luck on the country’s new government, saying it was “better than no government at all.”
The Bulgarian Parliament approved Wednesday the country's new Cabinet tabled by Former Finance Minister, Plamen Oresharski, who was nominated for PM by the Bulgarian Socialist Party – a rival of Borisov’s center-right GERB.
After the vote, Borisov once again accused the nationalist Ataka (Attack) party of taking part in a “coalition” with the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the predominantly ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (BSP and DPS).
The nationalist formation did not participate in Wednesday’s vote, which enabled DPS and BSP to achieve majority.
