Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev has told reporters he does not know details about the Socialist-led Cabinet proposal that is expected to be announced later on Monday.

Plevneliev has declared that he would issue a decree calling the Parliament to vote on the new government on Tuesday, according to the Bulgarian National Radio.

The Bulgarian President has urged the new government to focus on continuity, since the country is currently in a key phase of EU funds planning.

On May 23, Plevneliev handed the mandate to form a new government to the Bulgarian Socialist Party, the party which ranked second at the May general 12 elections, after the winner, center-right party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) refused to do so.

Plevneliev handed the mandate to Plamen Oresharski, a non-partisan former Finance Minister endorsed for PM by BSP leader and PES president Sergey Stanishev.

The names of candidate-ministers in Bulgaria's new government are to be announced Monday by Plamen Oresharski.
