The names of candidate-ministers in Bulgaria's new government are to be announced Monday by Plamen Oresharski, the nomination for Prime Minister of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP.

Over the weekend, BSP and the ethnic Turkish party Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, held negotiations for the forming of the new Cabinet.

At 9 am Monday, Oresharski will be meeting with representatives of the far-right nationalist parties Ataka and VMRO the right-wing Bulgaria for Citizens of former EU Commissioner, Meglena Kuneva, and People's Voice of rock musician Svetlio Vitkov, to discuss the priorities of the 2013 – 2017 government.

Ataka and Bulgaria for Citizens already denied they would be entering a coalition with BSP.

Oresharski said Sunday he was 90% ready with the new Cabinet, but firmly declined revealing any particular names.

The only certain one so far is Tanya Andreeva, Director of the Sheynovo Maternity Hospital in Sofia, who admitted before bTV she has accepted the invitation to become Health Minister.

The ways DPS will be included in the new rule remain unknown as well.

BSP and its Coalition for Bulgaria promised to swiftly undertake measures in the social sector with first increasing the assistance for mothers of small children and for first graders, and up number of disadvantaged people to receive the so-called "energy and heating" assistance.

In the May 12 early general elections, BSP, DPS, and the far-right nationalist Ataka overcame the 4% threshold to win parliamentary seats. The fourth party that made its way to the Parliament was the formerly-ruling centrist GERB, which won narrowly and was not able to form a Cabinet as the other three declared they would not offer support.

The names of the members of the new government are expected to be announced Tuesday after BSP and its nomination for Prime Minister, Plamen Oresharski, received last Thursday the mandate from the President.

Oresharski is a former Finance Minister in the Three-Way Coalition Cabinet (2005 – 2009).
