Bulgaria’s former Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov has declared that he “cannot wait” to be charged by prosecutors.
Tsvetanov reminded that he tabled a request to be stripped of immunity as lawmaker just hours after the country’s new Parliament convened for the first time on Tuesday.
“Nothing has been proven,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
Tsvetanov, who is a key official of the center-right GERB party, faces charges of failing to exercise proper control over the use of special surveillance devices during his term in office.
