The restoration of statehood and the economy in Bulgaria are the two top priorities defined for the country's new parliament by liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms party, said leader Lyutvi Mestan.
"After restoring statehood and democracy in Bulgaria, the priority of priorities is to turn the state from a racketeer into a partner of the business sector," said Mestan at the first meeting of MRF's new parliamentary group Monday.
"We must implement a government alternative to what we had in the face of the previous GERB cabinet," stressed the liberal leader.
According to Oresharski, Bulgaria's new parliament and cabinet must restore the normal work of state institutions, with the executive also implementing a number of measures to revive the economy.

It is expected that the Socialist Party will propose an expert cabinet that is likely to be supported by the MRF.
The fourth parliamentary group, formed by nationalists Ataka, has suggested it might support an Oresharski-led cabinet, provided it agrees with specifically formulated cabinet policies.
Tuesday the first sitting of Bulgaria's new, 42th parliament, will take place at 10 am EET.
