Party press conferences have been indefinitely postponed as stray protesters occupied microphones at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia after early general election Sunday.
This is an unprecedented situation for the democratic history of Bulgaria, as press conferences are being regularly held little after the end of voting.
Earlier Sunday evening, protesters have clashed with police in front of the National Palace of Culture.
According to the international press center, press conferences of parties will actually be held.
The Bulgarian National Radio, the people who occupied microphones at the press center were representatives of the small The Other Buglaria movement.
They said that parties certain to enter parliament have staged a "coup" by rigging elections and are currently bargaining on the new cabinet.
Protesters outside, numbering not more than 200, are shouting "Mafia!" and calling for an annulment of election results.
Former ruling GERB party, which gave up power in February after strong street protests, appears to have won the vote with some 31%.
The Bulgarian Socialist Party follows, with some 4 pp behind, with the liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms and nationalists Ataka certain to enter parliament, according to exit polls and parallel counts.
