The Prosecutor's Office has summoned Thursday for questioning Miroslav Naydenov, former Agriculture Minister in the Cabinet of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB.

The prosecution reacted immediately after Naydenov gave his first interview ever since the prosecution charged him with corruption.

After being initially hesitant, he declared before bTV that former Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, had indeed been illegally snooping around and eavesdropping on ALL members of the Cabinet, along with President Rosen Plevneliev, possibly former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, and many other senior officials.

"The entire Cabinet and even Plevneliev knew they were spied on. For example, I am going for an important meeting with Plevneliev and before we start discussing important issues, we leave our cell phones in another room and turn up the volume of the radio or TV," said the former Minister.

He stressed Borisov did not know about the illegal snooping and has not been informed about Naydenov's plan to disclose the scandalous information on TV, adding the interview was not a plot to oust Tsvetanov from politics.

With the shocking revelations, Naydenov will likely become part of the prosecutor's probe in the illegal mass use of special surveillance devices.

The Prosecutor's Office further informed they were going to interrogate Naydenov by the end of the day Thursday.
