Bulgaria's former ruling GERB party ensured stable EU funding for SMEs, said former Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva on a campaign trip for May 12 early elections Tuesday.

Tsacheva visited the city of Pleven, where she is leading GERB's list for the vote.

"In the next EU programing period, 2014-20, GERB negotiated EUR 3 B of EU funds for Bulgarian SMEs," said Tsacheva.

"In our program we have included many efficient and real measures for stimulating small and medium businesses," added she.

Tsacheva vowed that should GERB regain power after the vote, a great amount of its efforts will be directing at facilitating the work of SMEs and export production.

"We made some mistakes during our term in office, but we have learned our lessons," said the former Speaker of Parliament.
