A 6.1-magnitude earthquake has shaken the south coast of Japan's main Honshu island, the United States Geological Survey, USGS, reports Sunday.
The quake hit at 12:22pm local time (03:22 GMT) on Sunday, 644km south of Tokyo, at a depth of 424km, according to USGS.
No tsunami warning has been issued. The tremor was felt in Tokyo, but there are no reports of casualties and material damage.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the devastating China earthquake has risen to 180, as rescuers are struggling to reach the area. A strong aftershock has been registered as well.
