Bulgaria's State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (DKEVR) is to announce Thursday gas prices for the second quarter of 2013.
State-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has requested a decrease of 3.2% in gas rates as of April 1, while the energy watchdog insists on a 3.89% price drop, the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) reminds.
The decrease in prices of natural gas is to result in lower heating and hot water bills, with different heating utilities expected to reduce tariffs by 3.8% - 6.5%.
Prices of natural gas are expected to remain unchanged by end-2013 after the Q2, 2013 price drop.
