Lidia Kovacheva, famous Bulgarian dietician, known for her healing hunger system died at the age of 88 last Saturday. She was born on August 31, 1914. Kovacheva is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts but is famous with her books and articles about the power of healing hunger. Till her death, she preached in favor of the healthy way of life. Thousands of Bulgarians got healed thanks to her method. At the age of 31-32, Kovacheva understood that she was very sick. Doctors did not give her a lot of hopes that she would be healthy again. She began her own research, studying the experience of doctors, healers and dieticians. Following that, she developed her unique system that represents a softer form of hunger with fruit, honey and tea. "The human body has its own healing capabilities," she used to say. During her last days, Kovacheva was writing her new book "Long Life - Dream or Reality." Unfortunately, she could not finish it. Her books and articles have been translated and published in Russia, England, Denmark, Turkey. "Hunger can heal even malice," Kovacheva said in her last interview for radio "Free Europe."
