24 prisoners from the Sofia Central Prison climbed on the roof of its building. They hang signs saying `This is not mutiny, this is a protest` and `We want the media`. Cries `Strike` were to be heard. Some of them threatened to commit suicides. `We want the system `to start working adequately,` one of them - Mario Peev - said. He is sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment. Peev had to be set free on August 21, on Tuesday. He is under 7-year sentence for a car theft. `The demands of the protesting inmates submitted to the jail`s administration concerning the conditions in the prison are reasonable. Their major demands are directed to the judicial system,` said, on his part, Director of the Sofia Central Prison Kiril Madjarov at an urgent briefing with journalists. The protesting prisoners appointed two representatives who had talks with Justice Minister Anton Stankov and Plamen Pekov, in charge of prisons.
