Bulgarian President, Rosen Plevneliev, will join Sunday the nation-wide protest rally against the political system and unbearable utility bills.

Speaking for the Bulgarian National Television, BNT, Plevneliev stated he has been invited to attend, and will go to show respect for the demonstrators and to hear what people have to say.

"They can expect from me only good intentions and integrity. There is deficit of justice and too many unfulfilled promises. All together we can and must seek solutions for the problems. The doors of my institution are open for all," said he.

The President stressed current events were a chance for returning the people to the State; a chance that must be utilized, not wasted. He explained his role was to seek consensus and work for a constructive approach to the numerous and different demands of Bulgarian people.

Plevneliev underscored he was not afraid of the huge responsibility before him now, when he must appoint Bulgaria's caretaker government.

When asked about claims the honorary Chairman of Bulgaria's ethnic Turkish party Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, Ahmed Dogan was the mastermind behind a plotted attack on the life of outgoing Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, the President stated he did not know anything about it, pointing out there were way more important issues before Bulgaria than "digging in secret files."

He listed these issues as taming electric power prices, fight against cartels, and preserving the Black Sea coast from over-construction.
