Bulgaria's European and Euro-Atlantic partners have expressed their support for Bulgaria in the fight against terrorism, according to Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry.
"Dozens of countries and political leaders have strongly condemned all forms of terrorism and again have expressed their sympathy for the victims of the attack and their families," the Foreign Ministry has said in a statement.
Fifteen EU member states – the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Spain, Italy, Malta, Greece, Germany, Hungary, France, Estonia, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Slovak Republic, the Kingdom of Denmark, Austria and Ireland - have expressed their willingness to assist Bulgaria in bringing the investigation into the July 18 terror attack to a conclusion.
Bulgaria has also received support from the United States, Australia, Canada, Israel, and from international organisations, including Europol.
"We find especially encouraging the position taken publicly by the Prime Minister of Lebanon that his country is ready to co-operate with the Bulgarian government in the ongoing investigation into the bombing," Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov said, thanking Bulgaria's partners for the assistance.
Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov stated Tuesday that Bulgarian investigators now have "a well-founded assumption" that the perpetrators of the deadly attack belonged to the military formation of Hezbollah.
