Bulgaria's right-wing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, DSB, and the civil association "Unity" laid Sunday the foundations of a joint political union.
The respective emblematic leaders of the two formations, former Prime Minister and Member of the Parliament, Ivan Kostov, and MEP, Nadezhda Neynski, signed a document named United Platform.
The establishment of its structures on local and national level is forthcoming.
"Today we voice our common desire for a future union and a joint ballot for all elections from now on," Neynski stated.
The MEP founded "Unity" after leaving the other right-wing party Union of Democratic Forces, UDF, in the midst of the scandal for the nomination of a constitutional judge from the parliamentary quota.
Ivan Kostov, leader of DSB, noted the Platform is open for membership for all who oppose the policies of the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB.
Neynski explained a united formation means a united party, but the decision about its official name, its leadership, and its registration with the Central Electoral Commission for the upcoming general election would be made after debate among all members and supporters.
DSP voiced readiness to offer leading positions in the ballots in some cities to their partners. These DSB ballot leaders have already been voted at the party conference at the end of 2012.
