Vienna's charm will be celebrated in Bulgaria's capital for a month. The two city's mayors Michel Heupl and Stefan Sofianski inaugurated October 5 Vienna's Days in Sofia. Michel Heupl pledged Vienna's support for Bulgaria's accession to EU. He and Sofia mayor Sofianski were unanimous on the good traditions that exist in the relations between the two cities in the ecology, cultural management. Vienna's Days in Sofia will last till November 3. The initiative will feature mainly art highlights as both Vienna and Sofia boast significant cultural agenda. Exhibitions and concerts will transport the spirit of Austria's capital to Sofia. "Caught Moments", an exhibition to be arranged in the Sofia City Gallery, that displays 100-years-old photos from Vienna is already stirring excitement. Traditional music from Vienna could be heard in same gallery, as the Wiener Art Schrammeln quartet will play old tunes and own pieces. Bulgaria Hall will host world-renowned trio Altengerg as they present works of Heidn, Pirchner and Brams on October 9. A special charity reception will lure Vienna-fans in the Kempinski-Zografski Hotel on October 5. They have their chance to taste Vienna wine in a replica of the Heuriger traditional wine houses while enjoying the music of a typical Heuriger duo. The cover of the charity reception is set at BGN 50. The revenues will go for the construction of a liver transplanting hospital in Sofia.
