Serbian coach Miodrag Jesic has been tipped to become the new coach of Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia, according to a Bulgarian media report.

Jesic, who is currently at the helm of Saudi Professional League side Najran, coached CSKA between 2004 and 2006. During this period he became a Champion of Bulgaria and recorded a win over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League qualifying phase.

Anonymous sources have told bTV that the Serbian will be almost certainly appointed as CSKA's new manager.

CSKA fired coach Stoycho Mladenov earlier on Friday. The team is currently fourth in the standings with 29 points from 15 matches, nine points behind leaders Ludogorets Razgrad.
