Greek and Romanian police units are to patrol the largest Bulgarian winter resort Bansko  between December 17 and March 31, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry has announced.

The Greek and Romanian police officers will work in collaboration with their Bulgarian colleagues.

Local police chief Georgi Kostov has reminded that Greek and Romanian police officers have helped secure the safety of foreign tourists in Bansko for several years now.

The joint patrols are stipulated under an agreement between the police authorities of Bulgaria, Greece and Romania.
