Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has suggested that the next meeting of US President Barack Obama with the state leaders of Eastern European nations should be held in Sofia.

Borisov was welcomed by Obama in the White House on Monday in a long-anticipated meeting.

This is Borisov's second meeting with US President Obama; his first meeting was precisely at a dinner of the US President with state leaders from Eastern Europe back in 2010.

One of Borisov's first remarks after his meeting with the US President was that he got really impressed by the fact that Obama is aware of all recent archaeological discoveries and treasures of Bulgaria, Radio Focus reported.

The Obama-Borisov meeting continued for more than 40 minutes. The Bulgarian delegation included Bulgaria's Ambassador to the USA Elena Poptodorova, Deputy PM and Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov, and Defense Minister Anyu Angelov.
