The Bulgarian government has appointed Boris Dimitrov Chair of the State Commission on Information Security (DKSI).

Dimitrov succeeds Tsveta Markova, who spent two terms in office as DKSI Chair.

The entire staff of the Commission changes, Serey Damyanov being the only one to retain his post.

The new members are Vasil Rizov, who will be Deputy Chair of DKSI, Petar Petrov, and Ivan Ivanov.

Dimitrov was born on January 26, 1966.

He holds a degree in Economy and Labor Organization and a postgraduate diploma in Law from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.

He completed specializations at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior, the Institute of Public Administration and the Pointman Leadership Institute.

He became an Interior Ministry employee in 1992 and was appointed Director of the Human Resources Directorate in 2009.
