25 M Americans Cast Their Early Vote in US

Some 25 M American citizens are estimated to have used their right to vote early for the November 6 presidential elections, report agencies.

They come from 34 US states, with some of them being the so-called contentious states, which have been won by neither incumbent Barack Obama nor his Republican contender Mitt Romney.

The largest states of conention in terms of early vote are Florida (3.5 M votes), North Carolina (2.5 M), Colorado (1.5 M) and Ohio (1.3 M).

Obama's headquarters have said that according to their data, Obama has a 62% to 35% lead against Romney in the key state of Ohio.

However, it has been remarked that Democrat voters are much more active in early voting than Republian supporters.
