STATE OF EMERGENCY IN IVAILOVGRAD LIFTED

The state of emergency in the fire-stricken Ivailovgrad was lifted on Thursday morning by a decision of the local commission for protection of the population from accidents and disasters. The fire that raged in the area for over 7 days was finally put down. It carbonated nearly 7,000 ha of mixed forests. Another 50,000 ha of coniferous trees were salvaged from the blazes. Vice President Todor Kavaldjiev is in the area to inspect the damages.
