Medieval Tarnovgrad Comes Alive: Tsarevets Fortress Hosts Reenactments and Ancient Tales
For the tenth time, the Tsarevets Fortress in Bulgaria's old capital, Veliko Tarnovo, will host a medieval spectacle
The trade between Bulgaria and South Korea increase by 300% in the last three years, according to data cited by South Korean Ambassador in Sofia Chun Bi-ho.
His Excellency spoke in the Central Bulgarian city of Veliko Tarnovo on Friday, as cited by Darik Radio, as a guest lecturer at Veliko Tarnovo University St. Cyril and St. Methodius.
He emphasized that Bulgaria has a positive trading balance with South Korea largely as a result of the Free Trade Agreement between South Korea and the EU that entered into force on July 1, 2011.
Ambassador Chun noted that Bulgaria exports to Korea mostly scrap metal, chemical products, electronic chips, and clothing.
According to the Bulgarian national statistics, South Korea is the second largest East Asian investor in the Bulgarian economy.
"We believe that the FTA will lead to a great boost [of trade] and will expand our economic relations," His Excellency noted.
In addition to giving a lecture at Veliko Tarnovo University, in Veliko Tarnovo Ambassador Chun opened a photo exhibit on Korea, and is going to participate in a Korean Culture Night at a local venue.
