BULGARIAN NATIONAL TV ENTIRELY ON PAL

Bulgarian national TV, the state owned television channel will use of today only Pal system, National radio and TV committee announced. PAL is the normal widely used system in Western Europe. It took almost 11 years Bulgaria to accept the better quality system and to give up the odl fashioned one SECAM, used partly in France also many years ago. In Poland, Czech and other Central and Eastern European countries the change was done for less than 2 years. For the past several years BNT made an experiments with PAL only during midnight programs. Now the old Russian made and local one TV sets will have some problems with the pictures, experts added. According to a market research 93 per cent of Bulgarian will not have any problems with their sets to receive PAL.
