A director of a directorate in Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency is among the 6 Bulgarian civil servants detained Friday for fraud.
Director Alexander Koserkov is among those detained in a special police operation targeting fake reporting of fees levied by the Agency, informs the Bulgarian National Radio.
The group of 6 allegedly underreported the amount of fees gathererd and then distributed the remaining money among themselves.
Bulgaria's Minister of Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov estimated that just during their last hit, the group gathered some BGN 20,000.
Authorities are still under way to determine the exact total amount with which the group defrauded the state.
