Five Bulgarian companies will participate in the Bilisim `01 fair for information and communications technologies, due to be organised in Istanbul September 4 through 9. The exhibition is part of the German CeBIT fair and is one of the biggest in the Euro-Asian region.

An extraordinary congress of the Bulgarian Tourist Union will be held in Vidin on August 17. The congress will approve new statutes necessitated by the amendments to the act on non-profit legal persons.

For the first time in its 12-year history Shumensko Pivo AD brewery will export beer to the USA, the company`s CEO told the PARI daily. By next week`s end a container of 20,000 500-millilitre bottles will be sent overseas.

Thirty seven new debtors were entered in the public bulletin of the Chief Tax Directorate. Thus the number of tax evaders became 1,045. Another 32 debtors were removed from the list after paying their dues.

A total of 633,158 applications for supplementary mandatory universal insurance have been submitted by the pension insurance companies to the National Social Security Institute so far.

The Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency has approved BGN 5 million credit limits since it was set up in late November 1998, the agency`s CEO, Sonya Sofronova said.
