Bulgaria's best tennis player Magdalena Maleeva is 40th in the cash-earning race of female tournament competitors. Since the beginning of 2002, Maleeva has netted USD 260,000 from prize funds of the Women's Tennis Association. The singles account for the vast share of the sum - USD 224,000, the rest has been won in the doubles tournaments. Another Bulgarian high profile player, Lyubomira Bacheva, is rated 155th in the cash chart with USD 51,000 while compatriot Svetlana Krivencheva is 223rd with USD 25,000. Last year, Magdalena Maleeva frequently entered the party of the twenty financially most successful female players. The Williams sisters are predictably on top of this year's chart.
