While Bulgaria is racing towards diplomatic and economic goals to support its EU bid, it is not easy for Bulgarians to share the euro-enthusiasm. But Bulgarian Association "Journalists in Favor of European Union " think that being able to call yourself European citizen regardless nationality, color, background or mother's tongue is a beautiful feeling. On September 26, the European Language Day, the association along with their friends from the European Projects radio program aired by one of Bulgaria's National Radio channels, "Christo Botev", gathered to celebrate the ideals of culturally diverse but still united Europe. H.E. Jean-Joup Kuhn-Delforge, the French ambassador to Sofia and Dimitris Kourkoulus, head of EC Delegation joined the euro-enthusiasts to mark the European Langages Day and to greet the European Projects program for its twelfth anniversary. " France believes that every European citizen should speak two more languages except his mother's tongue. The Swiss do this so why not all of us follow their example," the French ambassador said. "We don't think of creating culturally homogenous medium as Europe is synonymous to diversity," Dimitris Kourkoulus underlined. Both official guests noted that Bulgaria shouldn't fear its culture would be assimilated within the EU. Indeed, entering the union means more opportunities for Bulgaria to promote its cultural riches, Kourkoulus said
