Bulgrian striker Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he is very pleased with his new club despite its 3:0 defeat at the hands of West Ham on Saturday.
Even though Fulham was three goals behind when Berbatov came in as a substitute, he "felt as if the team was leading by 6:0."
"I felt great with the boys and the coach," he said at a press conference in Bulgaria on Monday.
Berbatov stated that he chose the club because of his family and his relationship with Martin Jol, the manager he worked with during his impressive stay at White Hart Lane.
He said he was pleased with the fact that his teammates and opponents treated him with respect during his Fulham debut on Saturday.
"For some people Fulham might be a small team. But maybe I am not the same person I was two years ago. I need to get used to their game rhythm now."
