A 61-year-old man died on Monday in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, as his vehicle suddenly burst in flames.

It was initially believed that the man's Ford Ka caught fire after it hit a concrete wall. However, according to the Bulgarian National Radio, this version is no longer considered accurate.

Police are working on the case, suspecting either a technical problem or foul play.

The accident took place at Sofia's Knyazhevska street at around 8:00 am. The man's body was removed from the vehicle around noon.
